There is a scene where the Dad is hanging lights on the house to celebrate his daughter's wedding engagement. Is this a common tradition in the Punjabi culture?
When I passed by houses with holiday lights on in months other than December, I used to think lazy people lived in them. Folks who just never got round to taking their Christmas lights down. Now I think these houses might be celebrating wedding engagements.
