I have no doubt that the US could save alot of money cutting services, but even if they cut all the nonessential ones and leave only the essential ones,… it still wont be enough

But even if you don't, you could afford it. You don't spend 4% of your budget on your military.
And your health system passes the costs on to the consumer.

Canada has less population than the state of California. taxes are more than 50%. They have less mouths to feed.
Canada has no nuclear weapons- very small military and little to no intelligence
With Defense spending, we ( the US) spend more than the next 26 countries

simple. the US babysits the world . Without the US existing, the entire planet would be under either Japanese( Emperor Hirohito and his brutal regime), Nazi Germany or Soviet Union rule. And you would all have no freedom. You dont like to admit it but its true. The world is constantly in denial.
