<p dir="auto">They did wonderful writing for all the characters except these two.  I just have a hard time believing they would never have any kind of comeback than 'hmph' or 'mother' when they're shown up by Daphne shows them up.<br />
And why does Clarissa, Henry's soon-to-be step-daughter, allowed to make comments about his previous sex life. I could see Glynnis making those kinds of comments, but not her.<br />
This movie is a actually one my guilty pleasures. I just enjoy it. But I do think they missed out on some opportunities when they fell back on stereotypical non-responses rather than really giving these two characters some clever dialogue.</p>

<p dir="auto">Sometimes people just can't think of anything to say. I doubt they have much experience with anyone putting them in their place or showing them up.</p>
