It's probably extremely difficult.
I remember only dancing scene : young people dances in disco (present-day setting in a club). Music artist sings
"No! No! No!" (it's more possible) or "Down! Down! Down!"
(it sounds similar as
Paul Johnson - Get Get Down
). Genre : pop music, English lyrics. The singer is a young white man, which wears dark sunglasses. He sings to standing microphone. Present-day setting in a club.
The film is set in mid 80's or 90's, because I remember new clothes (more modern fashion and style). I'm pretty sure that it wasn't during private party, but party in a club. Probably pop music, but "No ! No! No!" was only ending of song (something like chorus and it was repeated twice). Tempo of song was normal (not low and not quick).
The film is from 1993-2003. Romance-Comedy and feature film. Unfortunately, I don't remember actors and plot. My guess is something similar to "Just Add Pepper", but film isn't available online.
EDIT
I watched some scenes from "Valley Girl" with Nicolas Cage and I see similar band - The Plimsouls. Is it possible that they sings similar song ?

It isn't sure. It was pop music, I don't remember too many. I'm sure that it's something from 80's and 90's, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. There are many songs from 80's and 90's. Only chorus melody was very similar ("no! no! no ! - twice).

Try to figure out the song first. What style of music? The same style/sound as the Paul Johnson tune that you linked?

When you say "disco" do you refer to a 70s disco, along the lines of "Saturday Night Fever" or "Studio 54" in the 70s or was it more of a present-day setting in a club?

Thanks for your guess, but it isn't. I know
Revenge of the Nerds
and I don't recall similar scene. It isn't song, which I'm looking for.

Revenge of the Nerds
was from 1984 a little early
I don't recall if anyone ever danced to this song in the movie, tho..
