When I first saw an ad for this film, I thought. Wow it sounds good. But it seemed a little too similar to The Ring. Did anyone think that?
But the difference was Samara was quite generous and gave: Seven Days where as the website is actually pretty lame and gives you a mere: Two Days

Seems more Ringu is a ripoff of VideoDrome. Just because it coppies the "die in this amount of time", doesn't mean it's a ripoff. Yes it used that and has a curse on it. You have a list of cursed stuff.

after seeing the film, its okie, not too shabby, but a cheap knockoff of the ring is all ic an think of, many aspects not properly mentioned, a good production team could have made this a classic

sorry..I was thinking of 2002 and I wrote 2007I guess I was on crack or somethinganyway I was talking 'bout the The Ring - Hollywood version..Indeed The Ringu (japanese one) was released in 1998.

Well, if my informations are correct, FearDotCom's release was on 30 august 2007 and The Ring's release was on 18 october 2007..sobut there are some similarities between those movies..I think the major one is the atmosphere.
