Why does hoshino and his mum want Yuichi to sleepover so much? It seems strange!
Also, why is hoshino so horrible to Yuichi when they were quite good friends?
just a few little confusions, which i could probably answer myself, but just to be sure heh.
otherwise i found this film amazing after watching it twice^^

The scene was pretty bizarre. What kind of mother would open the bathroom door on her son's friend?. No wonder her son was pretty messed up.

I think Hoshino was so cruel to Yuichi because he represented weakness to him. Before Hoshino became the school bully he was picked on, and Yuichi represents who Hoshino used to be.

Yeah, they seemed like they were best friends or at least the closest out of their group. I think it's like when people start hanging out with an entirely new group of friends in high school. More than anyone they reject their best friend because it's who reminds them the most of who they used to be. So I think that's why he's so horrible to him, aside from it seeming like the two other guys in their group disappeared. Do those two show up in the movie after Hoshino turns into a psychopath?

Why does hoshino and his mum want Yuichi to sleepover so much? It seems strange!
^ Well he's bullied in school for being smart so she probably just just wants him to have a real friend
Also, why is hoshino so horrible to Yuichi when they were quite good friends?
^ Because he changes for the worst when he becomes the head bully
also, why does the mother barge in when he's in the bath? and why does he use her shampoo? haha
^ Because he has a thing for her obviously, hence him asking Hoshino about her afterwards
