Parts I get:
Hasumi gets behind Hoshino and stabs him.
Hasumi breaks free from the crowd.
Hasumi later pulls the bloody apple/knife out of his jacket.
Part I don't get:
The knife is stabbed through the apple.
Does this mean that when Hasumi stabbed Hoshino, the knife pierced all the way through the apple to Hoshino's body?
Because if it did, the tip of the blade that made it through to the other side of the apple didn't look long enough to wound Hoshino fatally. Of course it would have hurt him pretty bad but not enough to make him collapse and not be able to move and then kill him, right?
Also, why would the knife go through the apple anyway?
I do distinctly remember Hasumi handing Hoshino back the apple at the end of the concert, so we know that Hoshino was the one who had the apple.
But normally when you hold something you hold it in front of you.
Hasumi was behind Hoshino when he stabbed him, so why would the knife pierce the apple??
I know this isn't really important at all to the plot, but I was just confused and curious about this.
Thanks in advance for your responses!
