I know it's probably not going to ba a popular statement, but I kind of sympathize with Dean Prichard in this movie. Beanie and Frank are selfish dicks who were probably bullies growing up. Mitch is just a clueless follower who goes along with the (usually bad) ideas of Beanie and Frank. These types of guys were the bane of any kind of misfit or oddball in high school.
They don't give too much history about how these four interacted in the past, but the impression I got was that the three made life a living hell for the one. "Cheese" probably wasn't a complimentary nickname and the idea of being locked in a dumpster is only funny to people who revel in the misery of those weaker than them.
Revenge is a dish best served cold. It's too bad that the writers of this flick contrived to make the three "heros" and teh one the "villan."
Who among us hasn't secretly wished that they could get revenge on the people who made our lives hell in the past?
Prichard was a victim just trying to get a little payback. And for that, they thought he deserved to die.

As someone who's been bullied all throughout elementary and high school, especially born and raised in an urban American city, I don't sympathize with Dean Prichard at all. He was a total douche to just about every character in the movie. As others have mentioned already, if he wanted payback and was consistent with it, he would've only been disrespectful to those who wronged him in the past. But he extended that to everyone else who had nothing to do with his bullied past.
There's no need for that but he became a rotten, arrogant human being. If I were a Dean I'd make good use of my status and salary. Also since I'm a huge animal lover and advocate, I noticed the pictures of Prichard posing with animals he hunted down. He's a total prick, hunting down animals for sport and all that is absolutely wrong. He was meant to be despised and it worked. I certainly was sold on it.

either the OP didnt think it through before posting this, or he was an "uptight little weenie who told on everyone" during his highschool/college days, and he is still wanting to revenge on those who "made his life miserable".
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and think its the former.

Its that man again!!

Agree ^^^^ Sounded like he was just the kid brother of another friend. They may have messed with him some but in the movie he deserved everything he got. He had a massive inferiority complex and took it out on anyone around him to show that he wasn't a little puke anymore He blackmailed a student for god's sake!

Also they were friends with his older brother, that is probly the only reason they messed with him and it seems like his brother messed with him too.

"Who among us hasn't secretly wished that they could get revenge on the people who made our lives hell in the past?"
I think you're looking for the movie "The Neverending Story" Kids ends up in a dumpster after being chased by a bully and gets the last laugh by scaring the sh*t out of said bullies with a mythological dragon of some sort!!!

Yeah, he was pretty much a dick to everyone, not just his tormentors or their supporters. The worst thing he did was expelling all student members of the fraternity. Did they get reinstaed after the bribery scandal came to light?
Being inconsistent is better than being consistently bad.

"Also, did you notice that Pritchard was pretty much an a-hole to every other character in the movie, not just his former bullies?"
A perfect example was the way he conned the student council president into revoking Mitch's fraternity and in return he would help her get into a big name law school. When she confronted him about how she didn't get in and nobody had heard of him he said he bribed her all along.

Speaking as someone who was bullied in school, I have to disagree. Judging by his adult personality, he was probably (as another poster put it) a weiner. I certainly was. Being bullied was a horrible experience and it was perpetrated by some truly horrible children, a few of them grew up to be horrible adults but most of them grew out of being bullies in the same way I grew out of being a mummy's boy and a tit.
Holding strong grudges for something that happened to you as a child is not only pointless and damaging but also pathetic.
I want to see the Nightmare Child!!

You are taking this movie too seriously.
"Cheese" probably wasn't a complimentary nickname and the idea of being locked in a dumpster is only funny to people who revel in the misery of those weaker than them.
First of all, cheese is a delicacy in many countries.
Secondly, what actually made this part so funny was the way Cheese immediately shot back with "I got out."
I thought that whole scene was actually one of the movie's funniest, and I do not "revel in the misery of those weaker than" me, nor do I have any sympathy for people who bully others
in real life
. Also, did you notice that Pritchard was pretty much an a-hole to every other character in the movie, not just his former bullies?
But if it bothers you that much, you can always watch Revenge of the Nerds again.

I can understand your feeling re: bullying and all however; there were those who were bullied who (ok,no one deserves it) totally didn't deserve it and then there were the uptight little "weenies" who told on everyone, were always trying to get others in trouble, be the teachers pet and were all in all an enormous pain in the ass. I didn't see the three main characters as bully's as much as I saw Dean Prichard as the guy who even the teachers wanted to stick in the trash dumpster. I do hope that you were not someone who was bullied terribly but figure you probably were so I would like to extend my apologies for anything horrible you had to have gone through, no one deserves that EVER and long ago or not, I am truly sorry for your past.
