It has been a few years since I've watched Firefly, and I saw that it was coming on the local SyFy channel. I sat and watched the show preceding it (Killjoys) and the show following it (Z Nation).
Firefly, despite being 14 years old, despite only having a run limited to a dozen or so episodes, still managed to feel fresher, more modern, and more original than either of the offerings sandwiching it.
Gone too soon, Firefly. Gone too soon.
