Wouldn't it have been a conlict of intrest for the lawyer or D.A. whatever he is, because earlier in the movie he is representing the guy that Judd's character had arrested. But the problem with that is the lawyer for the perp Judd's character had arrested is best friends with the guy's father. Wouldn't you think that is a conflict of intrest?

my lawyer can be my best friend that perps lawyer was tight with his dad there is not a conflict of interest eminantly obvious there, unless his father has something to gain by him being incarcerated.
now, the defendants lawyer having had an affair with the arresting officer that could be cause for mis trial, especially since he continues to sexually harass her fairly plainly
