Is it me or the climax of the story is very bad / unoriginal / unconvinient.
What was the point of the killings and making Shepard constantly falling to sleep after a glass of wine? (forgot the word for this action of putting a sleeping agent in somebody)
Also why did the killer showed himself to Shepard so easily without expecting to be shot or imprisoned in the final scene? Was he so dumb to expect her to be okay with it? Why didn't he tied her to a chair or something when explaining what he did? It was obvious that he would've died or get imprisoned even if he shot her.
A simple reason for this would be the evidence of three glasses used for wine The killer didn't even washed the wine/soap from at least one of them.
He seems too dumb to let Shepard to cooperate!
