<p dir="auto">During the teen slasher craze. Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, H20, Valentine, Final Destination, etc. etc.<br />
Freddy and Jason were absent for this era and this is the closest they got. Would have been neat if this movie came out 4-5 years earlier.</p>

<p dir="auto">I agree.  It's a shame they couldn't get the license away from Paramount for so long.  The movie was good.  I think it could have been better if it was released years earlier though.  Watching the Never Sleep Again documentary, they had alot of ideas they were tossing around and scripts they had been written that seemed interesting.</p>
