was brilliant in his dual roles Jeffrie and Ju-ona. The premise itself is hilarious. An NBA player joining the womans league so he can play again. All for love of the game. The support from In Living Color mainstays Kim Wayans and Tommy Davidson were excellent. Nice cameo from Lil' Kim. Vivica A. Fox was beautiful as usual and as sassy as ever. Kevin Pollak rocks! Need I say more?

I actually recently watched all of the Sadako and Kayako movies last spring. I had never seen the bulk of them. This includes the weird Chinese Bixian movies that steal the characters. I personally thing the Japanese films are all worthy of a deep dive, up until they start the goofy reboots and what have you. Damn, 20 years and I still try and watch every horror movie ever made. Blessed.

Hey insanislupus, 20 years later, did you ever watch the movies, what did you think of them

Ringu Starr? Man, I never thought of that!

The remake seems to be based more on Ju-on the Grudge, which is the third movie in the series. I found the Japanese film to be very convoluted, time-wise. Scary, but at times it tries too hard. This one is better.
I'm hoping they tie everything together in the American remake and don't mess so much with our tender Western sensibilities.
Ringu is a finely crafted horror story, and should be seen, but I enjoyed The Ring just as much.
Tell me you went on the Ringu forum and posted something about Ringu Starr. Humor me.

I've heard of it, seen articles and thing son it, but I've yet to actually see it. I think the Grudge looks to be excellent, but I wanted to see the original before the remake as everyoen who seems to have seen Ringu liked it better than Ring.

Silly, yet entertaining. I almost replied on the Horror board to your post about Propechy vs. Hellraiser to ask why Pinhead would want to fight a giant mutant bear, but I was too lazy.
Have you see the original Ju-on video? (and not Juwanna Mann)
