I think her lack of pants and shoes and socks adds to her vulnerability. It also contributes to the sense that we are seeing her private moments as if we were ghosts observing her, and seeing more than any real person ever could.

I live alone and literally never wear pants in my apartment. When I get home from work, I change into boxers and a t-shirtit doesn't matter what time of year it is or what the weather is like. If I'm home alone, I'm in boxers. It's just a comfort thing, nothing to do with sexualization. I totally get not wearing pants when you're chilling at home (or at least a hotel room). I also get feeling depressed, neglected, like life is passing you by.

It's not a flat, it's a hotel room. Why should she bother being dressed ? You see sexualization where there is none and she is wearing rather plain underwear, nothing remotely sexy.

She is trying to not only decide who and what she is in life, she has low self esteem and it makes her feel "sexy" or "attractive". Plus, I also felt she was trying to get attention from her HUSBAND, and he was ignoring her. So she found attention "elsewhere" from Bob.
