I love how they made him look so icily cold, mysterious, seductively human-like yet evil at the same time. Its an accurate portrayal of Satan to the core. Anyways, this is hands down the best Christian film I've ever watched and as a Christian myself, I can't find any other Christian or better yet any other religious film that compares to this.
I honestly don't know why people are offended by the violence. The Bible doesn't care about your feelings. It exposes the raw severity of sin and the massive lengths Jesus took to pay for our sins which we can't do for ourselves in the first place.

Yes, I agree that Satan was represented very well in this film. You can
see
how he used to beautiful and good a long time ago, but he is all screwed up and monstrous and evil now. Most representations of Satan only show his monstrous & evil second self, but with no hint of his beautiful & good original self.
If you want to see other great Christian films then I recommend Time Changer (2002). That is one of the most biblically-accurate films ever made (in terms of presenting the Bible's message truly, fully, and with no watering down at all). It's more educational than entertaining though. But the world at large desperately needs that education.
Another great Christian film is Fireproof (2008).

Check out Donald Pleasence's Satan "the Hermit" in
The Greatest Story Ever Told
As one reviewer commented, "He's the scariest Satan I've ever seen, and all he does is smack his moist lips". I think that DP's performance is THE perfect cinematic Satan.
