Speed Demon sounds like a fun ride 85 minutes of great entertainment.Rapid Heart made Speed Demon and a film called Leeches!,which also looks excellent.Unfortunately I can't rent the films.Neither movie is at my local rental store.I'd have preferred renting the films before buying them.I'm going to e-mail Blockbuster and tell them i'm disappointed Speed Demon and Leeches! aren't in those stores.Hopefully,Speed Demon will have high sales through word of mouth.I'm confident Speed Demon is worth the time and money.

I guess being put in the same list as "Moulin Rouge" is the greatest compliment this movie will likely ever receive

My version seems to be 80 mins, maybe i got the super-extended-ultra-hardcore-xxx-queer-as-hell-gay-compacted-80-minute version, coz i'm 20 minutes into it; the first 5 was credits, i spent the next five laughing my ass off, third 5 being bored and the last five being scared about all the (not so) subtle gay imagery thats being flooded to my brain in this crapest of all crap movies.
-nobody seems to wear shirts
-they couldnt afford extra's
-the plot is bad, predictable, shallow, often nonsensical, and seems to have been written by a 12 year old.
-the acting is barely one step ahead of what i saw at my church's easter production this year.
-the cars are old
-the car chases are done at 25mph - and you have to wonder how come a guy who lives for cars cant even take a simple racing corner?
I think i'll add this to my list of 'movies i couldnt sit thru', and that means a lot seeing how short the list is cough moulin rouge cough
