Kudos for disrupting a production over the humane killing of an older, sickly donkey that was going to die anyway?
No wonder actors are such narcissistic douchebags. Their fans encourage that beep

No animals were put to death during production. The story is a urban myth based on a misunderstanding of some storyboards for a scene that was never produced. The death scene was supposed to be done using visual effects. A real live animal was on set much to the enjoyment of the crew.

Unless John C. Reilly walks out of a restaurant or an award show when they serve meat, he is a hypocrite. He is one of my favorite Actors, but I lost a lot of respect for him over this poor decision.
Do some research before posting lies about Lars Von Trier on the Internet.
The SPCA kills thousands of dogs in America a year and they're not even dying.
The animal was being put-out-of-its misery. It was kept alive longer for the movie.
Facts can be a frustrating thing.
