Unfortunately the only good thing in this flick is superman himself (not even the acting, just the character), and somehow that was enough for them. They were able to overlook how stupid the unfunny comedy was, how weak and lame the villain was, how bland Lois Lane became, etc for whatever reasons. I dunno how they did it, but maybe they were off base because this movie has not aged well at all.

I heard many prefers routhe came back after MOS and bvs . Cavill tho looks the role that's really it. He's very miscast where routhe had some of the Clarke and superman traits . Reason why so many like super girls superman . It was nice to see superman being superman again. Not being depressed and moping .

"Describe Lois and superman in this film without doing the followingtaking the comics into account, saying their professions. You also cannot describe their relationship or their role in the film "
You have to discuss both their relationship and their role in said-film - roles and relationships are what defines characters.
Lois - a little embittered by having been left with no explanation yet conflicted about Superman, inquisitive, working mom, perky, resilient, heroic
EDIT: regretful later for
writing that article
Clark/Superman - trying to deal with the consequences of having left Earth and come to terms with its changes (regretful), questioning his own relevancy and place within it, contemplative, a little jealous of Richard, klutzy (as Clark), larger than life, heroic and assuring (as Superman), conscious of his surroundings and those around him, resilient - has a bit of humor/playfulness (ie
the look he gives the gunman after being shot in the eye
)
"one is a stalker and the other is a whore"
That is so waaay off base it's not funny. He wasn't "stalking" Lois - when he went to her house, it was to talk with her as Superman after being cut off by her as Clark. Unfortunately, when he appeared, Richard and Lois were having a conversation about him and the possibility of her still having feelings for him. "Whore"? She wasn't sleeping with the entire city after Superman left her. Again, an incredibly unfair and inaccurate summation.

Brandon Routh was fine as Superman.

Nice try. Critics liked the film because they didn't watch it with the baggage that most people had while seeing it.
The critics praised that the film was more than a "Rock em sock em" action movie but instead focused on the characters and their motivations.
