What's the most funny about this film is that all the stereotypical customers in the film are 100% real.
I had an incredibly short career as a server and it WAS NOT something I will ever do again. I did it for 3 months and had all of the customers shown in the film (the a-hole redneck cheapskate, the entitled b!tch who complains about everything, the foreigners, the condescending well off guy who acts friendly, the lame people who act like having dessert is some naughty taboo.) all of them, and it sucked ass.
I've worked in customers service most of my working life but waiting is something of a different beast than say working a register or a certain department in a retailer.there are immediate expectations and the server is the sole brunt of the annoyed customer 99.99% of the time.
I won't say I never screwed up an order, because I have. I won't say all the annoying customers are bad because some of the annoyance really isn't their fault, it just comes from being jaded by the job.but the amount of utter SH!T servers have to put up with from people is mind-boggling. It REALLY is and I will forever respect anybody who has to sling food in front of peoples faces for 8-12 hours a day. I ALWAYS tip well, even if the service is sub-par because you never know what kind of day the person is having. Chances are they genuinely suck at their job and don't care.but chances are they are having a day from hell too. How people can act like such pricks to servers is beyond me.

I believe the film is suggesting that 'rednecks' frequently disagree with this philosophy.

So it is okay to put ketchup on a hamburger but no a steak?..j/k
I actually find that if you cook the steak just right you don't need anything on it, not even steak sauce. usually for me that is really rare.

Well-done steaks, that are through-cooked, and yet juicy, are the skill pinnacle of the experienced grill-cook. That said, they are a royal pain in the ass, especially during dinner rush. To be fair to most rednecks, however, in my experience, those that ask for well-done meat rarely (medium-rarely?) ask for ketchup, with which to 'wash 'er down' (the most commonly-used phrase).

Also depends on the kind of steak! We have people at our restaurant (a steakhouse) that ask for well done chateaus and we just have to nicely steer them towards a different steak while thinking what a silly prick they are for wanting to ruin such an amazing piece of steak!

I feel the same way. My husband used to get his steaks well done and I was like omg they might as well be burned they are so dry and tough.
Thankfully now after years of practice he gets his steak medium, I'm more of a medium rare girl
Reminds me of King of the Hill when Bobby asks his dad what they should do if someone wants their steak well done? And his dad said he'll have to politely ask them to leave! lol.

Agreed. If the cook has some skills a well done steak can indeed be juicy.

Very rednecky, for sure.
I have, however, had juicy steaks that have been well-done before. I think it's just a matter of monitoring the steak closely when cooking and not cutting into it too soon after it's off the grill. Well-done and juicy? Totally possible :).
