Actually I believe it takes place over a span of a yearwhen they are on the front porch shortly after they move one of the boys says "day 14 on this weird planet" or something to that effect and that is before they even start schoolthey don't start school till after the mom leaves and than I imagine she's gone for almost two weeks plus near the end the father says he will stay till the end of the season which is I think mayI'm not really sure on the football thing but everything that happened, happened over the course of a few months to a year.

I have 3 siblings and we used to fight constantly I can't imagine have 11 siblings and trying to get along. Plus more than half of them were under the age of 13 so yeah, not so easy to get along
