I don't share a lot of your political views, and want the Democrats to make a comeback, and for that reason I'm dead against Keith Ellison taking over the DNC.
We can sit here and have an ultra-partisan fight about whether prominent Jews will leave the Democratic Party or not, BUT WHY SHOULD WE? There are other candidates for this job, and NONE of them come with the baggage Ellison does.
The irony is that the big argument a lot of Bernie people put against Hillary was that she had too much baggage, yet the same people are behind Ellison solely because Bernie is backing him.
Even besides baggage, Ellison doesn't have the right personality for the job. People who know him well have confided that he's not much of a leader, and his staff does most of his congressional work for him. [In interviews and panels, most of the other candidates seem much smarter and specific on what they would do to rebuild the party.]
He wants the job to increase his name-brand, but would he do a good job? Almost certainly not, and there's stuff about his backgroundpotential affairsthat hasn't even come out yet.

As I said. Fox is not a reliable source. It doesn't matter which incarnation of Fox.
It's the equivalent of citing Tektonics or GotAnswers on the subject of the existence of Jesus.
But Alan Dershowitz has no grounds to lecture the Democratic Party. He's been cozying up to the Right for quite awhile now; he's a constant guest on Fox. And little wonder: Israel is now run by a far right wing party. In supporting it, Dershowitz cannot help but mimic their politics.

Dershowitz's slide to the right seems to have started about a dozen years ago, and is centered around issues involving Israel and some tangential to it ("legal" torture with a warrant was questionable.) Fox would certainly market him as a liberal still, though of late his views can seem merely 'libertarian' at best.
