is that it sometimes ran too many times on social stereotypes. i think chappelle realized this but too little too late. especially in a country where everyone claims they don't categorize people by race anymore, the stereotypes portrayed in this show shows that we still do.
it's all in good fun poking fun at races, but the more you do it the more it becomes subconscious for people to think that these stereotypes are true.

I think what happened is the success went to his head, he began to question if what he was doing was right.. Sure it was funny, and in all honesty probably helped with the racial divide in America.. But on the other hand it was also making certain types of Racism ok.. Like whites going up to Dave and using the N word..
All the pressure and confusion is what happened.. I don't think Chappelle had any real issues with the stereotyping, as unlike many comedians he didn't focus on a single race, but on every race..
Talking about sterotyping and racism is the best way to put an end to it, rather than hiding it away and pretending it doesn't exist..

Making fun of stereotypes, when done correctly, will always be funny. The trick is you cannot sanitize it. It has to be edgy to be funny. It has to offend somewhat, even mildly. And the audience has to appreciate what the joke is.

The OP is just another overly-sensitive "politically correct" moron. No one forced you to watch Chappelle's Show.

It hasn't aged well either. Recently I tried to watch old episodes on the 'net and turned it off in unfunny disgust. I guess my tastes have changed since I was 19.

The stereotyping was the best part of it for me..
Have to agree, once you can laugh at yourself (us as a whole) then you can better deal with the issues that separate us.
A good sense of humor is the best antidote for life!

The stereotyping was the best part of it for me.. too late for America to start getting all sensitive while at the same time stereoptyping Arabs as a people that want to kill them in their beds.
