It's very reminiscent of the 80s slashers, I don't get the hate. The acting was good, the kills were gruesome, the killer was scary what more do you want in a horror?

I liked it too, but I have a fetish for horror taking place in apartment-complexes (see also
Demons 2
). For all its flaws I found a lot to enjoy about it and it reinforced my belief that slashers are the most entertaining subgenre of horror.

I agree, it has very 80's horror movie feel on it. Fun B horror and Hooper's last good movie.
