. killed too soon.
There were problems with this movie but, for me, a really big opportunity was missed with a potential friendship between Nel and Julia. They only met the day before, seemed to have a great connection, decided to run together the following morning even agreed that the hotel was creepy Then that evening poor Julia is murdered.
Now, I can understand it - it's the nature of the movie - but did they have to knock her off so soon? Seems that Nel is far too upset and worried about her just because she didn't shown up for their run.
Besides, I would have liked to hear more on why Julia's putting a camera on herself in her apartment and allowing teenage boys to watch her undress. I know she's proud she's lost 56 lbs (Ha! Juliet Landau [BTVS and ANGEL] has ALWAYS been thin so this just seems so funny) but this seems really odd. What turned her into an exhibitionist?

I didn't think she was crazy because Julia ditched her. I think she was getting there long before she and Julia spoke. Having called the police twice and then finding the teeth in the wall had her pretty worked up. At this point I figure she was spiraling and Julia was one more "oddity". I also think she liked Julia before they ever spoke. Back when Nel called about the two guys rehearsing, Julia passed Nel in the hallway and Nel chickened out on talking to her.

Yeah, they should of shown the two of them hanging out a few more times before having Nell go off the rails. Also why, if Julia is a health freak, does she want to go get some cake? That was quite bizzare.Julia was introduced like she would have a lot more to do. Yeah, I agree about the four female characters and how the first three kills were three of those females. I kind of felt that's when the movie lost it, well that and the fact it was a rushed movie due to budget.
Cherry Darling: I was going to be a stand-up comedian.

i didnt care that much about the character (she was mean to ned! booo i liked ned), but they shouldve let the friendship develop more before she died. it didnt feel believable how crazy nel went after knowing her about 45 min. so what, she missed the run! maybe julia is just a flake? maybe she's a drug addict on a binge in her apt (VERY believable in that building!)? nel didnt know julia well enough to go that crazy, and it made me dislike her character even more.
There are too many mediocre things in life to deal with. Love shouldn't be one of them.

I think she had the camera sent up for online dating or something similar and the boy hacked into it and was using it to spy on her. It shows at one point, he clicks a button on his computer and the blue light of the camera turns on, so it looks like he can control it somehow. I don't think she knew she was being spied on.

Yes i agree that was disappointing, It would have been good to have seen Julia be in at least a couple more scenes with Nell. I think that she along with the other female characters were killed off too quickly in the film.

I don't know but the first time I saw the movie I really thought that Nel AND Julia were in the ''end chase scene' together! Too bad that didn't happen
