If The Dark Knight and especially The Dark Knight Rises been filmed more at night, I think they could've married better with BB's awesome tonal environs.
Though on the other hand, I see what Nolan was going for with the sequels - the evil was amped in part because they weren't afraid of broad daylight.

The thing that Burton's movies didn't got right about Gotham was the fact that Gotham is a corrupt place in which you'd never want to live. His Gotham was all style but no substance, and it looked just too pretty and stylized. It looked interesting, but there was nothing outside that. This movie actually shows you that Gotham is not some wondrous La La Land .

Gotham was very nice in Batman Begins.

I agree. But in the sequel, it looked like Chicago. But I'm biased because I AM from Chicago. I'm sure a Pittsburgh native would say the something similar about the third film.
