I've watched World War II documentaries on the Smithsonian and the American Heroes Channels. I'm glad the American stories are told here and in Band of Brothers.
The Smithsonian and American Heroes Channels documentaries are primarily old British and Canadian films.
I saw the problem when one of my grandchildren asked while watching the Smithsonian Channel with me, "Grandpa, was America in World War Two?" Since then, one can easily draw the conclusion that America was primarily helping British and Canada fight the war.
Bunk on that.
