I liked this movie. I can fully understand however if someone didn't. It is depressing and does have characters which are unsympathetic. I guess you have to be able to relate to the characters in order to understand them and in turn like the movie..?
From my own point of view, the Miles character is basically how I feel my life will turn out; alone, depressed etc and I think that empathy is soemthing which maybe a lot of people don't have if they're in stable relationsips etc

I watched it 12 years ago when I was 17 and loved it. As I get older I believe I relate to the characters more and more. It's a great movie. Perfectly cast.
