I've really got no comment on the real subject here; I just basically agree with most of what RT says. But, I've just gotta ask somethingyou thought cruise and pitt's Interview with the Vampire characters were gay? and that it was downplayed?
I mean, in the seriesthere is a lot of homosexualitybut I really thought that book lacked it the most. Don't get me wrong; it doesn't bother me in the least. Anyway, I agree to your commentIt was very clear that those men were in a relationship and I loved how they made it seem completely "normal", as in, they didn't fear society's opinion on the relationship.
Overall, I think the filmmaker's did a good job in being almost passive about it. That way, people who claim to be "homophobic" don't have much to complain about, and people that are looking for these type of things in films have got what they wanted as well.
It works out well if you ask me.

Homophobia is kind of a misnomerit's not an irrational fear like a fear of heights so much as it's an irrational hatred like racism. Do you guys feel sorry for a guy who is openly racist because he's struggling with a psychiatric disorder, or do you think he's simply a predjudiced bigot? Not much difference between homophobia (in a case like this) and racism, IMO.

Yeah, I'm really not trying to take sides here but a phobia of something is defined as an irrational fear of something. Therefore it means there is no actual reason and it is actually a psychological disorder. Now I don't know if the OP actually has a proper phobia of homosexuals, but if he does there is relatively little he can do about it in my opinion. Not saying that I agree with him of course!

Thanks to the person that made it clear that there are no such scenes in this movie, gonna watch it courageously. And by the way, homophobia, like any other phobia, is a psychological disorder, so there is no need to call it "stupid". I'm working on it, and I'm getting better. Thanks again, have a nice day
