That I hate where the first half is hilarious but the second half gets all dramatic and preachy. "Bruce Almighty" had the same problem, and it's like, if you're going to bill your movie as a comedy, make it a comedy all the way through. Don't just decide halfway through to switch genres and make it a drama. Anyone else with me here?

I didn't find it hilarious at any moment (it made me smile a few times, but that was it), but otherwise I agree with you. The first half was at least watchable, but the movie went downhill when it switched to preachy drama. And then it ended with that huge clich

It was quite the opposite for me. I actually liked the twist, it saved the movie from being "just another Sandler's comedy". In fact, I think it had potential for a full fledged drama. I also think Bruce Almighty has a more lightweight story, while Click has more powerful dramatic events.
However, I understand your feelings, the "hybrid story" can be unpleasant if does not meet your expectations.
