The kid would later grow up to play Jerome in the DC tv series Gotham. But the kid was a jerk. If anything Michael does to him is to teach him some humility and some respect.

I have no idea why Ben was hanging out with him in the first place. He's such a show-off and a complete jerk. I laughed out loud almost every time Michael humiliated him.
