So I'm in Season 6 and I was watching an episode where the one family is going to be moving to Florida. Lynette and Tom are trying to convince them not to move, so that Lynette can keep her job. Anyhow, the wife was saying to Tom about how she can't wait to move to Florida because there is no snow there, implying that the area of the "Eagle State" that they live in gets snow.
However, then a few episodes later, it is Christmas, and the weather is clearly bright and sunny and warm while they are putting up Christmas decorations. This would imply that Wisteria Lane is in an area of the country that stays warmer year-round.
So was that a plot-hole on the part of the writers? Another plot-hole I noticed was in the one episode when Susan is driving Edie and she changes the tire when they get a flat, but then in a later episode when she and the other women are driving, they get a flat and Susan says, "Anyone know how to change a flat?"

The show is set in a fictional state called The Eagle State.

Fairview is likely a suburb of Evansville, Indiana. That part of the state doesn't usually receive much snowfall.

I came to this board looking for anyone else who noticed no "snow" on the lane. Now, I figured they filmed in CA. But, Fairview is near Chicago, they talk about it in season one, I think 3 or 4 hours. So, I was bummed when they would have Holiday episodes like Seasons 3 (where the pedophile is outed). No snow?? I live in Michigan and yes, many times there is no snow on Christmas, but it is COLD outand the trees are dead.

If I remember correctly she asked if anyone knew how to change a tire but then did it herself because no one else could.

Did the character actually mention snow? To my recollection she said, "no more winter", which could refer to cold weather in general.

Technically, that's true, but generally a very rare occurrence. It looks "off" in a show if the characters talk about snow in the winter and then Christmas is sunny and warm.

Not sure no snow one Christmas implies there is never snow or stays warmer year round. It reached 70 degrees where I live on Christmas Eve. New Year's Eve there's snow on the ground.
