Yeah, so going back to this, I believe the wording in the finale was blah blah blah "her six grandkids". Kinda odd. If the first was indeed grown I'd think the wording would simply be "with her grandkids" ("with six of her grandkids" would be awkward). Maybe just an oversight.

Many people believe that Susan, Julie, MJ & the baby were killed in a car crash as soon as Susan left the lane and I like this possibility, as tragic as it would be.

6 young ones probably under 10 she was watching who were playing in a park. I assumed Julie and Porter's kid would be grown by the time of Lynette's flash forward because she looked a lot older (probably at least 20 years later).

Same. TBH I don't really get what people don't get about this (I'm not trying to be mean!).
The whole story was pretty much focused on her and her being the first to move from the lane. We knew where she was going because that's what the plot was; then they had to tell us what all the other wives did too.
I don't remember; what grandkids did we see of Lynette's?

I just assumed the short run turned into the long run. I imagined she had a quiet but mostly happy life focusing on her kids and grandchild (and future grandkids) that didn't involve much drama. The only thing that threw me is I did expect to see the granddaughter among Lynette's grandkids.

after binge watching the entire series earlier this year, i finally saw how this show ended (having not watched it when it originally aired). after seeing so much happen I had to go back and rewatch the last scene to confirm that Susan didnt get a flashforward/explanation of what happened with her. The only thing i could think of was maybe the creators were planning on giving her a spinoff show to see where she ended up? IDK, kind of the same reason why i am trawling through the DH messageboards now to see if anyone else made any comments. i need closure LOL
