I just watched Hellboy and Hellboy II for the first time this week. The first movie was pretty good and left me ready to see the next one, especially since most people seemed to love it. What a letdown. Hellboy II was pretty boring and childish. The Gilden Army was one of the dumbest things I have ever had TE u fortunate privilege of seeing on screen and the excitement (minus a select few moments) was almost non-existent. I agree with a previous poster who said something along the lines of "Hellboy's problem is that it is too mature for children and too childish for adults". After watching Hellboy II, I couldn't agree more. The first one gets a pass because of the strong plot and believable antagonist, but man, this second attempt really sucked
