I hate him, what I hate the most is that he got away with his lies. But lets see how long until he lost his mind for the crime he did in secret.
He said to nola that he was bored with his wife..and that he loved and was crazy for nola but he couldnt let his "boring" wife , why ? Because he got used to all the fancy life he has thanks to chloey and her family. Thats why he didnt left chloey either to be with nola that didnt have any benefits for him besides sex..
So in the end he didnt really love neither. He just love all the money and fancy stuff he has thanks to his marriage.
Nasty man but great movie.

I agree.
Karma
got him in a way at the end - his money and connections come at a price, in the form of his boring wife and as many babies as she wants. He's too selfish and too much of a sociopath to want to be a father. His face at the end said it all.

Jindaleemt, i'm totaly agree with your thoughts about the movie. I feel very similar way about the character "chris".

All Chris wanted was money and sex and he doesn't love Nola or Chloe. In a way he represents a whole bunch of men. He's not that different from a lot of men. It's just that he went as far as murder. But lots of men hurt other people in one way or another to protect their ego so it's essentially the same thing. The egoistic essence of human beings is well portrayed. I'm just glad my husband is a totally different species from the Chris type and that we live in a totally different world which is filled with true love. I think I'm the luckiest one. Chris might think he's lucky but true happiness and true love can no way be based on murder and it's so unfortunate for him that he never will know what true happiness is about all his life and be stuck with his boring wife. I'm pretty sure he'll cheat on his wife again after a while.

I don't think Chris actually loved Nola, and when she started threatening to destroy him, he began to hate her. And I don't think she loved him either or she wouldn't have been so willing to cause him harm. He couldn't just end the r'ship, because she would have called Chloe anyway, as revenge. His only other options besides murder were to pay her off - risky, because she could continue to extort money from him forever - or to come clean to Chloe and the Hewetts and take his chances.

Well, that was the point. He loved being a part of that rich family-wouldn't you? The thing was he loved Nola but wasn't willing to give up his wife for her.
