Here's a sentence I never thought I'd be writing: Vin Diesel was excellent in this film. I knew the direction of this film would be solid that's always the case with Sidney Lumet's movies but I had no idea the performances would be so good. Of course, considering the fact that Mr. Lumet turns adequate performers into excellent ones, I shouldn't be surprised.
What a tremendous career this director had, and he remained relevant to the very end. He has left us a legacy if fine work in unforgettable films, and for that I am very grateful and Vin Diesel should be also.
