The only sequel I can think of (I'm sure there are more) where I was alive when it came out in theatre AND I liked it better/as much as the original was Blade II
I also liked Blade II better than Blade.

Just because a movie is good or successful doesn't mean there needs to be a sequel. Why isn't there a sequel to Titanic (successful) or 5th Element (good - eventually cult classic).

I recall Bruce Campbell saying something like a movie has to make it's budget plus a half to be considered a success. According to IMDB V only took $70m compared to a budget of $54m

God I hate it when people are sequel hungry. Can't we just leave a good story alone? Or do we have to make 12 movies about it until it gets as utterly ruined as Terminator?
