3/10, liked the alien subplot, hated the superhero stuff. I am honestly confused why this was the Christmas special since outside of the beginning there was no connection to Christmas, at all.
Might have given it a higher score if it had been two different episodes and not a Christmas special. But considering we had to wait a year for thisno.

I enjoyed it although it wasn't my favorite. My expectations are a little lower for the Christmas specials. Superheroes in the Whoverse was a fun thing to explore.
Edit: I gave it one extra point because my sons LOVED it. They are still giggling about keeping a glass full of water in your pocket.

Unusually, I rather enjoyed this Christmas serial. It was by no means perfect and still had its fair share of little irritations, but on the whole, I liked it nonetheless. I've always enjoyed superhero related stories and this one was no exception.

Utter rubbish. I was cringing most of the time and felt embarrassed watching it with my family. Terrible writing. If this was a superhero movie it would probably be the worst of the plot. The alien threat hardly existed. Weird bald man was terrible as predicted. How the hell is that piece of turd getting positive reviews? Are Doctor Who critics so easily pleased?

3/10 for me. Seemed like 2 regular series shows mushed together. A great disappointment for a Christmas special. Not sure about the new companion either. Meh.

I was very pleasantly surprised as I'd been a bit doubtful after the trailer and what I thought was a crappy superhero name. I'd forgotten that Doctor Mysterio was what they call the Doctor in Mexico (which Capaldi loves, apparently) - I fell for Moffat's misdirection again!
Nardole was improved, which is just as well seeing as he appears to be in some of the next series. He didn't annoy me at all, in fact he was a little endearing at times ("ooh, elephant"
).
The displacement-torture of Mr Huffle was inventive and the Reeves-era Superman refs were affectionate.
Not brilliant, but very enjoyable nevertheless.

Toby Maguire Peter Parker recycle, old plot (aliens of london) recycle, and a lack of development anywhere. People need to stop waving the opinion flag to defend utter trash.

of course you're going to rate absolutely anything 9 or 10/10 get real buddy, was that episode actually flawless or borderline perfect? -_-

10/10 what will probably get to 9/10 once I watch it again. Can't believe Moffat hit the jackpot with three specials in a row after the disappointments that came before. (except Christmas carol of course)
And while we are rating the episodes I rewatched Tom Baker's first story earlier (Robot) - 7/10
