The most disturbing death scene of any film IMO. I think it was because of how helpless they were with their hands tied behind their back and the way she was screaming with such distraught while being stabbed. It stayed with me for weeks and I'm not usually bothered by such scenes.
Anyone else feel like this? Is there any other movies which you think were worse?

I thought it was a great scene. I always watch it, it's very well done and feels very real.
Exactly. Completely agree.
However, the sequences I'll always remember are the first one, the first time the police interview Allen and the last scene.

We skip that scene. The actress looks a lot like my Mom (at that time). It's just too rough to watch, perhaps partially because it represents a real death.

It was shot from Brian's perspective ( the guy ) it's exactly how he saw it . The girl kept screaming therefore the killer kept stabbing . While Brian cleverly played dead .

The Lake Berryessa scene was very very raw. I think the fact that there was barely any music but rather just the sound of the breeze in the background made it all the more realistic. Not to mention a murder happening in broad daylight in public, yet secluded added to the eerieness.

Agreed. I've watched the film several times but not that scene. After the first time it haunted me for years.
