Watching this for the first time, loving it.
Question: is it pretty understood by fans that Maggie is OBVS Ricky's best attempts at making Karl into an on screen character? I mean, I know he finally managed to get Karl to perform in Derek (though that took him 15 years to twist Karl's arm into doing), but Maggie seems so entirely Karl I do wonder if Ricky wrote it with him in mind.
