But her husband repeatedly flew into a rage after he believed that she was acting too liberally since arriving in Europe in 2015.
He accused her of dressing too revealing, nursing their baby in front of other men, and not wearing her headscarf inside their flat.
He said: I was not ok with that. That is not what our customs and practices are like.
In a bid to punish his wife, the defendant allegedly kicked the heavily-pregnant woman in the stomach.
