remember watching this movie may have been a made for TV movie.
a woman abandons her son, and is raised by others.. the kid has special powers, grows up and decides to find his mother.. along the way, he stops at this town, where he fixes an antenna by simply touching it, the man is impressed and hires him he frequents this minor league baseball games at some point he hits a home run and the ball disappears into the sky. later he notices that a kid who plays baseball, has brain cancer.. he tells the kids parents but they don't believe him so he kidnaps him and gets him scanned against the wishes of his parents.. he does other small acts of kindness using his special powers and at the end of the movie.. I believe he gets on a bus and says that he'll continue looking for his mother..
I don't really want to watch it again, just a refresher to see if there have been any sequels.

I don't know, but it sounds like a pilot for an unproduced series what with the kid leaving at the end to do it all again somewhere else (next week no doubt).
Do you remember what decade you saw it?
