Having read the book, all in all I didn't love or hate this movie. In short I'd say it had a few moments of brilliance but in the end didn't manage to be much more than a beautiful mess. It was too 20-30 minutes too long and suffered from a much too confused and unfocused narrative. That being said it had enough redeeming things about it to make me rate it 6/10.
So my favorite parts:
The two ABBA sequences, especially the second one with Wilder and Charlotte which I thought hit home the caveman imagery perfectly.
Luke Evans' performance as Wilder.
That's about it, what about you guys?

I roared with laughter when the haughty actress Jane asked at the decadent party/orgy which guy was going to be the first to **** her in the ass.
My other favorite scene was when Royal persuaded those two guys not to throw Laing over the edge of the building because Laing owes him a game of squash.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

There is a beautiful shot near the beginning where he is in the garden with the architect for the first time and they manage to frame the view so that it shows this manicured paradise the architect has made inside a walled garden, and the sprawling concrete desolation outside of the high-rise.
I also like the scene where they attach the architect's drawings to him and give him paper wings. The only way for him to go with those wings is down towards his demise.

Surely, the slow-motion party / suicide montage, as well as the power cut. Oh, and I can't forget the beginning.

When Laing goes nuts and starts beating a man over a can of paint. Cut to the boy who is standing there goggle-eyed eating Cornflakes out of the box.

I thought the montage scene was very powerful and evocative.. memorising actually. So many intricately detailed half-second shots that managed to tell so much in their little snapshots.
Yes Richard Wilder, obviously commandeered the screen whenever he was on.
I liked the slow motion suicide scene, it was extremely unsettling and surreal, coupled with all the scenes in the party simultaneously.
The scene I liked but could have been better was the kaleidoscopic murder scene near the end, it felt a little forced and arbitrary, I could feel its very purposeful and deliberate insertion into the film, rather than naturally.
All in all, a wholly unique, hilarious and shockingly adrenalined thrill ride.
PS the scene of the kid screaming behind the door made me lol hard. And Jane Sheridan crying into the mirror.

WHAT was the deal w/ that primer paint? "I think I'll fight to the death for this dented can of primer paint, just so I can smear my walls and face and genitals w/ it while I avoid work like everyone else seems to be doing."

Agree.
Luke Evans as Wilder. He was funny and charming, then intense and terrifying. Awesome performance. I wish he had more scenes.
And I liked soundtrack.

anything with Richard fecking Wilder! brought a lot of life to the movie. Luke Evans was WOW
Do you think you are alive because you can fight?
