At the beginning of the movie, when Jodie Foster was in the hospital, a "Doctor Starling" was paged over the intercom.
Later on in the movie, after Jodie Foster had been released from the hospital, she is wearing a tee shirt with a bee on it (or mabye a moth) while sitting at home on her couch.
In Silence of the Lambs, Jodie Foster plays FBI Agent Clarise "Starling." The DVD Jacket of S.O.T.L. has a picture of Foster's face with a "Moth" that looks almost identical to the bee she was wearing on her shirt. As we all know, this "Moth" plays a big part in S.O.T.L. Here are two connections between the two movies that were made in the first half-hour. Just wondering if anybody else noticed that.

Astute observations! Thank you! Maybe a stretch but the dog relevance to the bad guy in each movie was a connection for me.
