In Rocky 5, he was the cause for Rocky losing his millions of dollars. Thus, a domino effect happened where Adrien died prematurely due to cancer. The cancer could have been caused by the New York City pollution (yeah, I know that is a bit of a stretch) and the lack of medical care that she was able to receive due to their low income.

What the hell are you talking about with new york city? And tbh, Paulie doesn't seem so happy so maybe he does feel better. In another note, Stallone doesn't really aknowledge Rocky V so maybe he didn't even consider it. That would be stupid, but possible.
