Disturbia is a movie that feels very much like Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 classic however takes place in modern day yet I happen to like it. I saw this movie when it first came out in theaters back in 2007 and enjoyed it quite a bit. Nothing can touch Rear Window but this is a damn fine thriller that takes direct inspiration from that film. Shia was actually pretty good here and made for a very likeable lead.

You should check out 'The 'Burbs' with Tom Hanks, Bruce Dern, Carrie Fisher and Corey Feldman. It's all about spying on neighbors who may or may not be serial killers and it's really fun too.
