I get most of the movie, but what I don't get is the ending.
From the moment Il-sun helps Young-goon to understand what her grandmother was trying tell her, till the closing credits begins, I am very confused! OK, I understand that her grandmother was crazy, but was that "random" message really what she was trying to say? If so, why?
The only possible solution I have is this:
The grandmother was crazy and therefore what she said was rubbish. But Young-goon, still being a bit crazy(even though Il-sun helped her), chooses to take her grandmother's words seriously. And by failing to be struck by lightning(duh), Young-goon somewhat realizes that she can live life to it's fullest with Il-sun, who's also gotten rid of his problem(burying the necklace).
Despite the weird ending, I enjoyed this movie. Not as good as JSA or The Vengeance Trilogy, but still a good movie.

The purpose of life was indeed love/sex or procreation.
Being struck by lightening was a metaphor for love on first sight.
Thats why they were having sex at the end of the film.

this is my interpretation and i have also seen other people say the same thing:
so the message the grandma was trying to give young-goon: The meaning of life is-. and she supposedly figured out that she had to get hit by i dont know how many thousand bolts of electricity.
i think the message was supposed to be: the meaning of life is LOVE.
pretty cheesy but she did get to know il-sun and il-sun protects her at the end.
i also heard many people say that she also realizes she is not a cyborg since cyborgs can't get wet and she gets wet by the rain.
with club sauce

He got rid of the' problem' by placing the wine bottle cork on the antenna to ensure they never got hit by lightening which then led to your own conclusion
