<p dir="auto">It's been 10yrs now since its release, &amp; it now looks &amp; feels truly like a 90's film, as if made in 97 &amp; not 07.<br />
It doesn't hurt having Vedder's music, Hirsch's look (hairstyle, facial, clothing, etc) &amp; attitude, + Penn's pared down direction.<br />
I think it better ties in with the 1990's better than many films actually produced during that decade proper.<br />
