Really enjoyed this movie, but I hated the 3 Stooges attempt to take out Reacher at Jeb's house. Did they really need to have one thug knock another into another room with the bat he was trying to hit Reacher with? That was just a bit over the top considering how serious the rest of the film is. I could also do without Rosalynd Pike trying to overt react with her eyes and expressions in every movie she's in. I gave it an 8 rating, might have been a bit better without those two things

You are 100% right about Rosalynd Pike. She is unable to control her expressions. Perhaps she thinks this makes her look hot or a better actor but clearly it doesn't.
Also it reflects poorly on Jack Reacher when an idiot can sneak up on him and hit him on the head with a bat when there is no sounds to mask his footsteps. Then he is cowering in a bathtub without trying to defend him. Thanks God they happened to be 3 stooges otherwise he had no hope.

Agreed. Not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog, as they say. Its Cruise's eyes for me. He remains calm even during the bar fight but his eyes always have that glint.

Thank you, Beauq, it certainly CAN be a factor. I am positive that a wimpy, pampered movie star like Tom Cruise couldn't whip your average Girl Scout.

As a long time martial artist - Bruce Lee could never take K. Abdul-Jabbar in a real fight. Size does matter.
Fighting a religious war is like fighting over whose imaginary friend is better.

Cruises size doesn't bother me, as a long time Bruce Lee fan I would never underestimate the ability of one man to kick the crap out of another, no matter the size difference, when properly trained and dedicated to that craft

You're more generous than I. Any movie in which 5'6" Tom Cruise plays an anus-kicking tough guy and finds reasons to appear shirtless, with such a modest little physique, will get a 5 at most. Especially when he kicks the crap out of multiple large assailants. I do believe my little sister could whip him.
