Daniel Cudmore - never heard of him. Don't think he would be cast in the lead for a big budget Jack Reacher film. Maybe if it becomes a tv series one day.

I don't think Tom would look good with a broken nose. Plus, his chest looks just fine without any scars.

You like what you like, you hate what you hate, so I know it is pointless to argue about this stuff. And I'm not. I'd just like to present a different viewpoint here. Everything that people criticize about TC: he's too short, he's not a baaaaadass.

Reacher is NOT a cartoon; he's a Mysterious Everyman with some unique skills. They choreographed his fight scenes cleverly here: he goes for the digits, groin and eyes. And when he takes out a tall goon like Charlie (Jai Courtney) it's even more satisfying
because
of the size difference. (David and Goliath anyone?)
Also, I love the bathroom fight scene, a comic interlude I enjoy with every viewing. It's..amusing and entertaining.

Autocorrect was on, I meant "from Rogue nation". Hunt goes into the record store (IMF front) and the girl working there says "You're Ethan Hunt? I've heard stories. They can't all be true" as he slowly turns, glances and smiles at her over his shoulder.

I know, I've never bought him as a tough guy. And he always has to take off his shirt and, though he's in great shape for 50+, he doesn't have a good physique. His flat, underdeveloped chest looks weird. He needs to pray to the God of Scientology for some actual pecs.
