"How about the ceiling of an ambulance"
The scene between Jack and the clerk at the automotive store (I think it was that kind of store).
Was that suppose to be funny? I laughed, but wasn't sure if that was suppose to be a serious scene.

They were just trying to make Cruise look tough. Making up for the size. The same with the car chase. Neither were in the book.
